What are the limits on a free seafarer account?

Profile features — certificates, sea service, job applications, job alerts, profile analytics, CV download, video introduction — are free, unlimited, and permanent, with no credit card required. The career-prep tools have a daily taste of the free tier: 2 Decision Simulator scenarios/month, 1 Incident Case Review set/day, 5 flashcard revisions/day, and 1 free Mock Exam/Orals preview. Academy (£9.99/mo) removes all of those caps.

How do I upgrade to Recruiter Pro or Academy?

You can upgrade at any time from within your dashboard. Click “Start 90-Day Free Trial” (recruiters) or “Get Academy” (seafarers), select your plan and complete the secure checkout. Access activates immediately and no card is charged until your 90-day trial ends. Companies: pricing is demo-led — book a demo, or sign in with an approved account to see full packages and prices.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Both Academy and Recruiter Pro subscriptions can be cancelled at any time with no penalty. You retain full access until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. We do not charge cancellation fees.

How does Crew Connect handle GDPR and data subject requests?

We take data protection seriously. All user data is stored on EU-based servers. Seafarers can export their complete profile data or request deletion at any time from their account settings. Recruiter Pro accounts include a dedicated GDPR tools panel to manage candidate data export and deletion requests in line with your obligations under UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

What is the Blind Hiring toggle and how does it help?

When enabled by a Recruiter Pro user, the Blind Hiring toggle removes name, photo, age, nationality and other potentially bias-triggering fields from candidate cards during the initial shortlisting stage. This helps your team focus on qualifications, experience and competency rather than demographic characteristics, supporting fairer, more compliant hiring decisions.
