Approaching a berth with tall warehouses, cranes, or other structures immediately behind it, why might the actual wind experienced by the vessel differ significantly from the open-water wind forecast or reading?
A. Wind shadow effects only occur at night and are not a daytime consideration
B. Wind behaves identically near tall structures as it does in open water, with no local variation to anticipate
C. Structures ashore have no effect on wind unless they are taller than the vessel's own superstructure
