The Situation

You're the chief officer on a bulk carrier, in ballast, supervising cargo hold cleaning. No. 1 hold was cleaned and painted two days ago and its hatch covers are open to dry — you want to take a quick look at the elevated inspection walkway before signing it off. What do you do?

The Lesson
